Jupiter and Saturn are about to do something not seen since the year 1226

The rare occurrence will happen after sunset on Dec. 21, 2020, the start of the winter solstice.

“Alignments between these two planets are rather rare, occurring once every 20 years or so, but this conjunction is exceptionally rare because of how close the planets will appear to one another,”

The good news is that from the Winter solstice onwards, light begins to grow with the return of the Sun king! It’s not all doom and gloom after all.
