Elohim is not God though, is it? So why does "I am the Alpha and the Omega" cause so much of a stir?
Elohim are God's agents. Jesus was an agent of God while on Earth. He spoke for God. That fits doesn't it?

Jesus is the start and the finish of everything!

Jesus wasn't known about in the beginning. Only when Jesus became God incarnate was he known, and then became the other arm of the trinity.
As I said, an agent of God.

Nothing a mortal does will have any bearing. To believe oneself special goes against everything God exists for, and as we know, everybody has to be a favourite.....

I have my own mind on reaching 'salvation' though, and how and when the gift is given.
