The Pentagram is an ancient symbol with many different meanings and representations. One of the original is that the four lower points represent the four aspects of the world; {earth, water, air, and fire} with the fifth top point representing the divine spirit.

Yule is celebrated at the Midwinter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.  The word Yule comes from the Germanic “Jul” and means “Wheel.” At Yule we celebrate winter, and the rebirth of the Sun.  At Samhain the Goddess followed the God into the Underworld and the Earth began its long winter slumber.

One of the things I love most about working with the Wheel of the Year is how precisely applicable it is to our own inner life.
